Trusted & Accurate Information Regarding Duct Cleaning

The DC Rating Score explained

The DC Rating Score is our effort to evaluate a duct cleaning businesses background based on the public information available online. We create the rating using a model that considers information from several sources (NADCA, BBB, Google, Yelp, Home Advisor, HomeStars …). Any information that affects the DC Rating score is visible on a businesses profile page.

A Duct Cleaning Business always has the opportunity to add information to their business page, and those businesses who support DuctCleaning.org with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

Keep in mind that these ratings speak to a duct cleaners background, but do not evaluate their past performance, customer service, or communication skills. These are elements that the DC Rating Score cannot evaluate.

Why the DC Rating Score can help you find the right duct cleaning business:

How the DC Rating Score is calculated. The rating is calculated using a mathematical model, and all duct cleaning businesses are evaluated on the same set of standards.

The DC Rating Score is fair. At DuctCleaning.org, all businesses are treated equally. We don’t play favorites.

It was developed by duct cleaning professionals. The model used to calculate the score was developed with input of a deep understanding of the work duct cleaning professionals do. We created the DC Rating Score to reflect the type of information people have identified as important when looking to hire a duct cleaning business.

It’s as simple as counting to 10. Ratings fall on a scale of 1 (Extreme Caution) to 10 (Superb), helping you quickly assess a duct cleaners background based on our rating.

The DC Rating Score is based only on the information we have collected and that the business might have provided, so we don’t recommend the DC Rating Score as the only piece of information you use to evaluate whether a duct cleaning business is right for you. The rating is a tool that provides a snapshot assessment of a duct cleaners background and should be considered alongside other information such as client reviews and peer endorsements.

How does DuctCleaning.org calculate the DC Rating Score?

We calculate the score based on public data we may have collected on each duct cleaning business and the information they have provided on their business page. The public data we collect comes from a variety of sources, including public records (business registrar) and other published sources on the internet. This information, however, is not exhaustive, and might not include additional relevant information that could increase a duct cleaning businesses score. Duct cleaners know about their own experience and have the option to add this information to their profiles – by either claiming their profile and adding information, or contacting DuctCleaning.org customer care to provide additional information – and those details will often increase a businesses score.

DuctCleaning.org’s mathematical module considers and weights the information collected and provided to calculate a numerical rating, ranging from 1 to 10. Within the model, we take into account factors that consumers and duct cleaning professionals believe are relevant to a duct cleaners qualifications, including experience, professional achievements, and involvement.
